Donating allows AFA to support our programs that ensure all of the cats we care for in Delaware County are happy and healthy. When we adopt out a cat to a new home, the fee we charge only covers about 25% of the cost that we put towards that animal, and the rest is made up through donations. We adopt about 200 cats every year and each one comes with various medical costs. To spay or neuter our cats and to get them their rabies shot, that costs $75 per cat. We also provide food, litter, and other supplies to our cats through our pet supplies pantry.

 Another service that AFA provides is our pet supplies pantry. With this resource, we are able to provide pet food and other supplies to low income families with pets. We also share our supplies with other organizations in the area. This program relies on donations of supplies and funds by sponsors and independent donators in order to keep it running.
